Alia is the founder of Plump'd, a UK-registered charity dedicated to fighting child hunger. It sends Plumpy'Nut to starving and malnourished children in humanitarian crises and conflict zones.

Plumpy'Nut is a nutrient-enriched peanut paste used to treat emergency malnutrition cases. It comes ready-to-eat in a 500-calorie packet and doesn’t require cooking, refrigeration, milk or water.

Since its founding in 2012, Plump'd has sent Plumpy'Nut to:
children living with HIV in rural areas of Tanzaniachildren in one of the areas hardest-hit by the Ebola virus in Sierra Leonechildren caught up in the war and humanitarian crisis in Aleppo and Idlib, Syriachildren confronting conflict, cholera and famine in Yemenchildren fleeing the besieged Tigray region in Ethiopiachildren on the brink of famine in Somalia.

Plump'd is run by volunteers and operates a 100 % donation policy: every cent donated goes towards buying and delivering Plumpy'Nut. Nothing else.
